We were saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend, David Lincoln. His Golden Rule vision led his work in many strong ways that truly made a difference for good in the world. Some of his work included ethics programs at universities, and he helped to establish a multi-religious university in Claremont, CA, where the underlying theology will teach understanding and respect among all faiths to work together in solving world problems. Truly, David lived the Golden Rule in his life, and these examples were the underlying reasons David and Joan Lincoln were Darl Andersen Honorees, the Arizona Interfaith Movement’s most prestigious Golden Rule Award, in 2012.
We will always cherish the friendship we had personally and through our work in the Arizona Interfaith Movement with David and Joan Lincoln. We know the many good seeds David sowed throughout the world will continue to bless our world and we cannot be grateful enough to have known him and walked with him during these past 20 or more years.
Our prayers go out to his precious family, and to David, may you rest in peace, and may your light shine on, brighter than ever before. You’ve inspired us and we will cherish you always.
Your friends for life, Arizona Interfaith Movement
