Jason Barney does commercial, industrial, and residential land development in the Greater Phoenix Metro and is extensively engaged in regional strategic, economic, and transportation planning.

As a principal at High Bridge Land, Landmark Companies, and Circle G Property Development groups, Mr. Barney manages marketing, sales, strategic planning, acquisition, assemblage, community relations, zoning, and entitlements for several thousands acres in Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and Pinal County. For Arcus Private Capital Solutions he represents 20,000+ acres in Pinal and Maricopa County as well as assets in Reno, Nevada and Southern California. In Arizona, he is particularly focused on positioning Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and the surrounding region as a major international employment hub around logistics and manufacturing by leveraging the unique intermodal infrastructure opportunities in that area.

Projects include regional and neighborhood retail, mixed use master planned communities, multi-family, custom estate subdivisions, hospitality, entertainment, office, medical, flex, industrial, freight rail, aerospace, and self-storage.

He serves on the Executive Board of Pinal Partnership, Queen Creek Economic Development Commission, East Valley Partnership Board, Superstition Vistas Steering Committee, and the Queen Creek Cultural Foundation. He is involved in regional planning, economic development, and regional transportation planning with particular focus on the Pinal County North-South Corridor, I-11, SR24, and other Pinal RTA projects.

Other past community group involvement: GPEC Board of Directors Representing the Town of Queen Creek (Greater Phoenix Economic Council), Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission (10 Years), Gateway Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan Stakeholder Group, Constitution Week USA, Gilbert Public School District Strategic Planning Committee, Queen Creek General Plan Update Stakeholder Group, 2010 Gilbert General Plan Update Land Use Sub-Committee, 2008 Mesa Gateway Area Strategic Plan, San Tan Regional Park Stakeholder Committee, Queen Creek Boys and Girls Club, Higley Center for the Performing Arts Ambassador.

Mr. Barney has also played a key role in the tech industry in Arizona. He founded one of Arizona’s first nationally recognized Internet firms, iTOOL/Zanova, and sold it to Onvia, a public company, in 2000.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Arizona State University with additional emphasis on symphonic band, jazz piano, classical piano, theory and composition, and electronic music. He went on to graduate studies in music theory and composition also at ASU. He taught high school band and private piano and now owns Talmage Recording Studios where he produces and writes in various genres.

Mr. Barney is the sixth generation of an Arizona pioneer family son of the late T Dennis Barney. He served a two-year LDS mission in Osaka, Japan. Mr. Barney and his wife Traci have four married children and six grandchildren.
