Your invitation to the Golden Rule Banquet 2017 / Menus shared

You and your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors are warmly invited to a great community-building event, the 12th Annual Golden Rule Awards Banquet!   It will be at the Mesa Convention Center on Thursday, April 6, 2017.  Legendary Phoenix broadcaster and KTAR News executive Pat McMahon will serve as Master of Ceremonies.  Along with about 900 people in our community you will have the opportunity to be deeply inspired!

Sometimes it is easy to forget all the good that is happening in our world especially when we are bombarded with national news of tragedies, war, civil unrest and hate crimes. However the principles of compassion, service and justice still exist and you need only look right here in Arizona to find it.  The Golden Rule Awards Banquet celebrates individuals and organizations who are exemplifying the Golden Rule, a universal principle contained in most faith traditions and many secular codes of ethics.

“Actions speak louder words, said Executive Director Larry Fultz of AZIFM.  “Once again AZIFM highlights people/organizations in our community who have demonstrated in their lives the principles of the Golden Rule and giving back to our community.  “Their examples inspire and encourage. This is why we are looking forward to celebrating the lessons of their lives at this uplifting and heart-warming event.”

The entire slate of honorees that will receive the prestigious award are: (please click the pictures so you can see them and why each one is being honored. Thank you.)

The evening will also include a Faith Fair where guests can learn about 25 different faith traditions and how the Golden Rule theme of “treating others as you want to be treated” – is weaved through all of them.

There will be a first-time Silent Auction during the Faith Fair Reception.  Proceeds from the silent auction and banquet will support the organization’s Golden Rule educational programs for youth in particular, as well as its service capacity.  For further information, please see our website at www.AzIFM.org.
