Unification
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, now called “Unification” founded 1954 by Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, detailed further at www.dplife.info, promotes the building of successful families with the True Love Pledge. We Pledge To:
- Practice true love as a child, friend, spouse and parent;
- Preserve my love for my future marriage partner;
- Dedicate myself to my spouse in complete fidelity;
- Respect all families beyond race, nationality or faith and raise my children to do the same.
“God, the Creator of all things under the sun is the true parent of all humanity,” says Rev. Moon, “He is not a parent in the parochial sense, existing only for a certain religion, a certain race, or the residents of a certain region. You may call Him by any name, be it Jehovah, Allah, or any other. What is important is that He certainly exists, lives as the true parent of all people, and is carrying on the great work of creation. He governs everything in the universe, and He carries out His providence through history in accordance with the principles and laws of nature that He set up at the beginning of time.” We explore these Divine Principles in word and action through our local communities.
