Yesterday’s Faith Forum about Holy Days from many different Faith traditions was so very special!  If you missed it, we invite you to participate by seeing the video, then continuing the discussion or asking questions via our Facebook page.  If you’re like most of us in attendance – wow, there were so many things I’d always wondered about that I learned.  And then some!  Here are the details…

Video Part 1 – Panelists Share
Video Part 2 – Final Question

We are pleased to offer Community Faith Forums, monthly, through the school year, to discuss topics of the day together in a respectful manner, listening and considering many different perspectives. While AZIFM doesn’t take positions on issues, through the different viewpoints discussed, hopefully one can have a more sound basis for their own viewpoints. We’d like to thank our panelists and those who attend and ask such great questions that help us all learn!!  This forum, just after a most difficult national election, included helpful ideas relating to civility and peaceful interactions going forward.

“HOLY DAYS: Sacred Celebrations”

The Arizona Interfaith Movement has produced a calendar with the Religious Holy Days of many Faith traditions for many years. While most of us are quite familiar with Christmas, Easter, and Hanukkah, there are many more we might never have heard of. As we approach Thanksgiving and the myriad of sacred celebrations in December let us pause to learn more about these Holy Days as well as the many others that occur throughout the year. Which are the most significant and why are they meaningful?
