Juneteenth Celebration – join us!

Dear Community,

Juneteenth is just around the corner! It’s a good time to remember in our hearts: “Differences are not intended to separate, to alienate. We are different precisely in order to realize our need for one another,” by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The community is invited to a meaningful and FREE Juneteenth Celebration on Sunday, June 19th from 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm, by and at the Arizona Heritage Center in Tempe!  There will be food, live performances, educational displays, and accomplished speakers Dr. Neal Lester and Kareem Neal.

The Arizona Interfaith Movement will be in attendance and partnership, with other educational displays, celebrating all cultures coming together with respect and dignity.  We hope you will join us and make this Juneteenth a special one!

Please register for FREE at https://bit.ly/3LOHG7P or through the website at https://arizonahistoricalsociety.org/, where more details are available.  Lunch will be provided by Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse and Creations by Sergio, while supplies last!

May these words be a prayer for this Juneteenth:“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” – Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Let us gather together in love, peace, kindness and civility on Juneteenth. We are looking forward to a great day,
Arizona Interfaith Movement Staff
