The Arizona Interfaith Movement, comprised of over 20 different faith traditions, stands opposed to the recent plans of the “ACT for America March against Sharia” that is scheduled for our city on June 10, and would promote division, hatred and misunderstandings. We stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Phoenix, across the nation and around the world who seek peace and only wish to worship as their conscience dictates to them. We ask that all our interactions with people of different faiths, culture and race be based on the principle of the Golden Rule of treating others as they wish to be treated. May we work together for the greater good so we can see a world of harmony, good will and peace among persons of all faiths where the Golden Rule is a universal way of life.
